With no clear fault.
Learning Track · Module 7: Failure library · Step 58 of 101
| Symptom | The circuit trips at night, often in wet weather, and resets. |
|---|---|
| Cause | Many small leakage currents from drivers and filters add up on a long circuit, or a real insulation fault starts in wet weather. |
| Check | Measure leakage current with a leakage clamp. Test each section's insulation. Split the circuit to find the section. |
| Fix | Repair the insulation fault. If leakage from many drivers is the cause, split the circuit, as the rules permit. |
| Prevent | Limit the number of drivers per protected circuit. Check driver leakage current on the datasheet. |
Warning
