Learning Track · Module 7: Failure library · Step 54 of 101
| Symptom | A row or group of LEDs is dark. The luminaire gives less light. |
|---|---|
| Cause | An LED in a series string failed open, a damaged board, or water inside the optic. |
| Check | Look at the module at night. Check for water, fog, or corrosion inside the cover. |
| Fix | Replace the LED module if it can be replaced. Otherwise replace the luminaire under warranty. |
| Prevent | Specify replaceable modules, IP66, and a breather valve that stops condensation. |
